This column joins the legion of friends—advertisers, readers/subscribers-- of this local newspaper on its 5th anniversary celebration this 24 October.

Historically, our publication's anniversary falls on the island province's foundation anniversary.

Brimming with zest and pride, today and in the years to come, we would be announcing to the wired world that we survived the grueling demands of the trade.

That is, amidst threats, sleepless nights and pressure of beating the deadline.

Already a tradition in the BP family, a motorcade will be held on the 24th of October at downtown Virac , 9:00 a.m.

Afterwards, a 'get-together party' will be held in the evening at a yet- to-be- decided venue.

Congratulations then to the management and staff for good work done.

May we have more celebrations to observe.

Mabuhay ang Bicol Peryodiko! Mabuhay si Bossing Ferdz and better half.

Mabuhay ang writers and staff. Sana mabusog at malasing mo kami.

Although I'm virtually disqualified from drinking , my health conditions would not hinder me from belting out my favorite songs—From Russia with Love, Constantly and Impossible Dream-- to name a few.

Of course, some precious and special friends must have been invited by Bossing Ferdz. That, I'm very sure.

The "BER months" are gradually getting exciting regardless of the economic crunch. As such families would be contented making do of what is available at hand.

During economic crunch, lucky are the rich, filthy rich or not. Unlucky are the unhealthy, especially poorest among the poor.

Would it be a blue or white Christmas for the government employees and workers in the private sector? The response would be grim, if not revealing, varied as it is.
